This is my son's first year playing rocket football and he loves it. His team went undefeated and is going to a bowl game! Yeah they have those for rocket football around here. He has had a wonderful time playing and I have had a wonderful time cheering like a mad man from the stands thanks to the inspiring cheerleading of my daughter! Anyway I really haven't posted pictures in the past but....

Kyle Orton Powers My Fantasy Team To Victory

While Kyle Orton's numbers certainly haven't been spectacular they also haven't been Grossman, Rex that is, like. When my two quarterbacks were sidelined due to injury and a benching I had to pick up one of the few QB's available. This was right before the CHI/PHI game and I really felt that CHI would win and Orton would have a nice game. Well the Bears did win and Orton had an okay game. When some of the other guys in the league saw I had Orton as my quarterback they were laughing at me. What is funny is that I am 2-1 with him and was 0-3 without. He gave me a solid 33 and change this week and the QB points really helped big time to secure my victory. Well that and Randy Moss having a few touchdowns...

Now who is laughing :)....

Brady Boot Blown Out Of Proportion

This is just me personally but I really think the whole Brady injury / boot issue has been blown way out of proportion. If the guy was down in Mexico relaxing with his girl he would be criticized. Instead he is home relaxing taking it easy and nursing a bit of an injury. They splash the stuff all over the front of every sports page across the country. I guess when you have a team that is as much an underdog as NY you have to create some kind of controversy to make the game more interesting.

Sweet 16! Patriots Make History

I watched this game last night and have to say it was one of the best NFL games of the season. The back-and-forth scorring, the intensity of the players, the chess match going on between offense and defense was incredible. You could tell that New England really wanted to win this game. On the other side you could also tell how badly New York wanted to beat the Patriots. If you didn't get a chance to watch this game you really missed out.

Fans Win! - NFL To Simulcast Pats Game On CBS & NBC!

This decision by the NFL is a great win for fans of the game. When I first heard about the NFL trying to leverage this game and several others in its battle with Comcast as a fan of the game I was upset. With this decision history is being made with the game being simulcast on 3 networks. If you are a fan of football you should watch this historic game in which the Pats look to be the first team to win all 16 games in a season.

New England Wins 20-10 To Go To 14-0

I watched most of this game and was really impressed once again with New England. I did miss portions thanks to DirecTV having issues all afternoon with my local channels. I was impressed with the running game this week. I think it showed that New England is not just a passing Brady/Moss team. Congrats to NE for going 14-0.

"PacMan" Pacquiao Vs. Marquez Rematch is On

Pacquiao vs Marquez II is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2008 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao, the WBC number 1 contentder, will once again fight Juan Manuel Marquez four years after their historic fight in which Pacquiao knocked Marquez down three times in the first round only to have Juan Manuel Marquez come back and end up with a split draw. One judge scored the fight for each boxer while the third scored the fight even. This was one of the most talked about fights at the time and I remember the controversy surrounding the decision. I just recently saw this fight again when it was replayed on TV and really really enjoyed the fight. I am really looking forward to this rematch.

Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez will defend his WBC super featherweight title against the Filipino Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao. Pacquiao has won 6 fights in a row while Marquez has won 4. I am going with Pacquiao in this fight as he is younger, 29 to Marquez's 34, and has looked very sharp in his last several wins. Manny Paquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez tickets are some of the hottest tickets right now even thought the fight is still 3 months away.

Did any of you watch this fight over the weekend? It was one of the best fights in my recent memory. I don't normally pay for fights, but a buddy of mine had purchased it and a bunch of us pitched in a bit to defray the cost. We had a big party and watched some great boxing.
