I know there was a point where I had to take advantage of debt consolidation. 3DebtConsolidation.com is a company that really is looking to help families in debt to consolidate their bills and lower there overall payments. Since they are a non profit, they can help regardless of what state you live in.

The website has a ton of information useful to folks in debt and working to get out. They have sample debt consolidation letters which are nice for corresponding with creditors. They also have creditor dispute letters and close credit card letters. Those are useful even for folks not in debt but needing those two services.

They have free debt calculators which are very nice and also offer free debt consultation for their services. The template is a very nice blue and green with just the right mix of web 2.0 and classic styles. The sidebar is full of tons of links to the enormous amount of information the site contains.

Did you realize that out of a random sample of 3 million American consumers (included in Experian's National Score Index), 51% of them have at least 2 credit cards and 14% of them have 10 or more credit cards. This is unbelievable. Given the current home loan credit market it would probably in most peoples best interest to consolidate their debt to help alleviate the burden of their debt.
